I know I try not to explain things, but this one has a reason to exist.

Last night I had a dream that an old friend was escorting me down this break room hall of a hospital/school/asylum (I'm not sure which) and explaining to me that these feral cats have made a roost in the place. As we're going down the hall I see these cats scampering all over the place.

We pass a vending machine and to my astonishment is filled with a dozen or so kittens. At this point I was concerned at the fact that I didn't have enough change to get all the kittens out of there. So I started to wake up.

Upon waking I had a secondary dream where I was submitting a piece of art to deviant art. When I looked at it it was this cartoon nearly detail for detail. It took me all day to draw it.

wow , well i haven't dreamed that yet, anyways thats is an incredible coloring scheme, dotted sky and fine grass add the perfect texture

Thanks! The color technique was fun. I did a back layer with markers and then stippled the sky and grass with colored pens, and finally gave highlights with pencils. Whew it was fun. And I'm happy to say is really close to the dream. I still don't know why there were kittens in a vending machine. I swear I'm not a druggy!!!

Poptarts, eh? That would be colorful, but what happens when they go stale? I had a similar one where a friend was caking fudge on his ceiling in some art space studio.

umm i'd imagine the whole scene would get pretty gross after a while * you'd need to clean the wall and start a newer poptart mosaic*

At our downtown malls they would make ridiculous sized sculptures out of various candies for new years. It looked way cool, till they demolished those malls. :(

the sky and the grass must have taken forever! no wonder you were at this all day. it's lovely though, completely worth the effort x
