I don't think I use "crumbs" nearly enough. Oh, it's not a substitute for a swearword. I have no qualms there. I think swearwords can be quite beautiful if used properly. "Crumbs" has a certain flavor I like. Like somehow the cosmos isn't quite together the way it should be, like its lost its saturation and now is crumbling away to nothing. Something like that. E. E. Cummings refers to his own psyche as broken into crumbs. So I like "crumbs".

Crumbs is a good word. Certainly needs to be brought back into modern parlance.
